Situated three miles from Drymen we  do not normally have walkers to our b n b, i.e. for West Highland Way.  We may be able to help  you  if we  have  a  vacancy in our self catering units for up to 5 persons Taxi from Drymen would be required  A811 has no pavement do you wish to walk any further?

We cannot guarantee good weather, but we never let it dampen our spirits. What a difference a day makes!!

Kelvin Grove Art Gallery, Riverside Museum, Burrel Collection, Museum of Modern Art, Municipal Buildings, Shopping, Glasgow worth a visit interest for all the family.

Stirling Castle with the Stuart Dynasty a must, great for a family to spend two – three hours.

Loch Katrine in the Trossachs, go for sail on Sir Walter Scott, cycles can be hire at this point you can take on board and cycle back, or what about a nice long walk!

Update our gas log effect stove/fires in sitting rooms of  Stables Cottage and Apple House  now been fitted with remote controls.

Mobile phones with VODAFONE  have the best signal in this area. Malcolm and I both have vodafone we find they work well inside and outside cottages/houses.

Glasgow for shopping Princes Square, Italian Centre, John Lewis, Buchanan Galleries, on Buchanan Street.

50 years ago Beeching cut the railway routes.  No rail road comes to Balfron Station the nearest train is Milngavie or Balloch.  Our address remains ‘ Balfron Station.’

The Drymen Show takes place every year and is a great day out for all the family. Takes place in the field opposite Strathendrick Golf Course and usually starts about 10am. www.drymenshow.com for more details  Saturday, 25th May, 2013.

During your stay you might like to visit the 1705 Pub of the Year!     35 miles from Loaninghead,  they may have a sunday sing song.  ‘The Drovers Inn’  Takes you back at least 60 years.
