June at Loaninghead

This is the view that greets you on arrival at Loaninghead.  Turn off the A811 on to Loaninghead driveway.

The area offers a variety of walks to suit all abilities, from easy strolls along the shores of Loch Lomond on marked paths and trails.  ‘On the West Highland Way’ also the The Queen Elizabeth Forest Park or tackle the ascent of Ben Lomond, itself, one of Scotland’s favourite ‘Munros’

Mugdock Country Park,  Balloch Country Park,  Loch Katrine suitable for walks and bicycles. Coffee shops and play area for the children

What about a sail on Loch Katrine, depart 10.30a.m., two hours sail return to Trossachs Pier have lunch then off to Glengoyne Distillery for a tour and tasting what a day. Return to Loaninghead self catering or bed and breakfast.
 
Take a drive to Falkirk Wheel,  Linlithgow Palace,  Falkland Palace,  Stirling Castle,  Glengoyne Whisky distillery and shop for a tour and tasting before you enjoy and evening meal in our local village of Drymen, Kippen, or Balmaha.
 
Guests today are off to St. Andrews for a lovely drive.
 
Visit Lomond Shores at Balloch the southern tip of Loch Lomond.  Shopping crescent, visit the paddle steamer ‘Maid of the Loch’ being restored.  Take a sail on Loch Lomond. Visit Bird of Prey centre, play some crazy golf.  Then walk into Balloch for a pub lunch.
