Once you arrive bed and breakfast guests should come in through the garden gate. If you're going to be in The Bothy (self catering) please carry straight on round to the Lions at the back door to pick up the key.
Travel north on M74 from Scottish border at Gretna to Glasgow. Take Junction 16 Aberfoyle and travel A81 to Milngavie. Travel through Strathblane / Blanefield stay on this A81 road signposted Aberfoyle. You will pass the Glengoyne whisky distillery. Stay on the Aberfoyle road (A81). After about 3 to 4 miles turn left to Drymen (A811). You will soon pass 4 houses on your right and another 200 hundred yards on right you have reached Loaninghead.
Leave motorway at Junction 10 and come in towards the castle and follow signs for Loch Lomond and travel on the A811 road to Drymen, Erskine Bride and Loch Lomond . Stay on this A811. Travel through Arnprior and Buchlyvie villages staying on this A811 you come to junction of A81 Glasgow/Aberfoyle road take left and almost immediately right you pass 4 houses on your right another 200 yds. You have reached Loaninghead on your right.
Take M8 toward Glasgow. Leave at Junction 25 to Clyde Tunnel. Follow signs for north and Aberfoyle. Travel A81 to Milngavie. In Strathblane/Blanefield stay on this A81 road signed posted Aberfoyle.
You pass Glengoyne whisky distillery. Stay on Aberfoyle road A81, at the round about straight through. About another 3-4 miles turn left to the Drymen, Loch Lomond A811 road. You will soon pass 4 houses on your right, another 200 hundred yards on the right you have reached Loaninghead.
Take M9 to Stirling and leave at Junction 10 which is just past Stirling Castle. Follow signs to Loch Lomond (A811) then to Erskine Bridge as directions above from Stirling.
