We hope this will bring you and your family for a vacation and look forward to welcoming you to Loaninghead the perfect central location in Scotland surrounded by fantastic scenery and countryside. Cottages are safely set away from main road and traffic having panoramic views of rolling countryside.

This area of Loch Lomond Scotland’s first National Park offers you an ideal base for your vacation. It is within comfortable distance of  Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Inverarary, or Culzean Castles, or Scone, Holyrood, and Linlithgow Palaces.

If architecture is your thing then visit the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Hill House and see the stunning architecture and design of one of Scotland’s best kept secrets.

If you are hungry there is an abundance of homely country pubs and restaurants the choice is yours.

If you want to cycle, fish, play golf, walk, sail, relax or simply look at the place Loch Lomond area offers you the freedom to enjoy these activities, and many more, amongst the most inspiring natural scenery. Travel cot, high chair, and I pod docking station available please state on booking.

We are delighted to offer you accommodation second to none at Loaninghead where we offer you luxury, spacious, self catering cottages on a farm courtyard conversion.The greatest attention has been paid to every detail from sumptuous soft furnishings, bed linen, brass bed, power showers, curtains, comfy sofas, wonderful kitchen, crockery,gadgets, Rangemaster gas cooker, American style fridge/freezer. (no small under the counter freezers )Set amongst mature trees and beautiful unspoilt countryside, this imposing 18th century red sandstone former hunting lodge, dairy farm, now stock rearing offers you stunning conversions of original barns into luxury cottages. We provide all bed linen, beds made up for your arrival, bath robes, towels, kitchen tea towels, oven gloves, basic household goods such as  kitchen roll, kitchen foil, cling film, washing up liquid, dish washer tablets, etc.

We do offer you quality, spacious,  accommodation, stone built traditional houses, converted to modern day regulations, in rolling countryside steeped in history, fantastic views, yet within easy access of Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh. Glasgow airport 20 miles without travelling through city centre. Edinburgh airport  60 miles. Wi-fi available in privacy of your holiday accommodation fifteen pound charge for security code. We can organise for you flowers, champagne, chocolates, price on application.(POA)  will do our best to please. Escape for some pampering and ‘me-time’

All our visitors are provided with an information pack on the area, large wall map too. If you would like personal recommendations we are only too happy to help.

While enjoying a rural setting it is only a short drive to the village of Drymen or Balfron where you can stock up on provisions for your holiday.( At Loaninghead self catering we do provide you with freezers suitable for families).   Local super market, banks, butcher, dentist, doctor, library, pharmacy, post office, petrol station with 24hr.credit card machine.

Complimentary use of Private Leisure Club three miles local village 17m swimming pool, sauna, steam-room, jacuzzi, gymnasium,exercise bikes rowers etc. Haven Spa (extra charge) worth a visit you are on holiday pamper yourself.   Our guests do tell us ‘they enjoy complimentary use of the  leisure facilities’

Lock-up available if required for bicycles etc. Bicycles not allowed inside self catering cottages at Loaninghead. Please note if bicycles found in any house  you will be responsible for any damage to paint work etc.

Our simple philosophy is to offer you genuine value for money and give high levels of customer satisfaction. Please note sorry no pets and we operate a No Smoking Policy. 3% charge for credit card facility. Please advise us of any access needs that you have in order that we can provide the appropriate service. Deposit secures a booking.

If you decide to stay at Loaninghead we feel sure that you will be delighted with your choice of destination. We know this because we live here! self caterers you can always have a late morning in bed without the worry of missing the usually inclusive – and paid-for – breakfast provided by serviced accommodation.

A self catering break  gives you freedom to be your own, no one will want to chase you out of your room to make it up and you can pick and choose exactly how to fit mealtimes in – whether you prepare them yourself (which is always good fun when you can source unusual local ingredients,local farmers markets etc.) or perhaps you may prefer to visit the local inn, pub or restaurant.
