There’s a huge variety of things to see and do in and around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

Several of our guests staying at Loaninghead are keen cycling fans and looking forward to getting out on their bikes.

Good local areas for cycling are Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, Mugdock Country Park and Balloch Country Park and Cathkin Braes.

0.5 miles from Loaninghead    Cycle Trails 5km of trails through indigenous woodland immediately next to Loaninghead.

 Booking essential parents can take a picnic and enjoy the views. 

All that fresh air and cycling works up an appetite – just as well we’re 3 miles from Drymen, with great local pubs and places to eat.

Parents can enjoy a whisky tour at Glengoyne Distillery (about 5 miles away) and the kids can climb Dumgoyne Hill (fantastic views from the top!)
