Tall Ship and Willow Tea Rooms April, 26th

On Thursday, 26 April 2018, for one afternoon only, The Willow Tea Rooms will be creating a pop-up tea room, selling their world-famous afternoon teas on The Tall Ship at Riverside.
Guests will enjoy a talk by Sylvia Smith entitled: “Glasgow Made the Clyde and The Clyde Made Glasgow”, where she will talk about the Cluthas, Clippers and the world’s greatest liners that were once built and sailed on the River Clyde. Sylvia will also talk about Glasgow’s Tea Merchants from Sir Thomas Lipton to Stuart Cranston and on to his sister, Miss Cranston, one of most celebrated names in the Glasgow tea industry and the inspiration behind The Willow Tea Rooms at 97 Buchanan Street.
There will be a raffle with the chance to win a range of prizes from both The Willow and The Tall Ship.Open from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm, afternoon tea will be £10 for adults and £6 for children and feature a selection of sandwiches, scones and mini-treats.
