snowdrops

The snowdrop first appeared in Scotland in the 18th century and its scientific name is Galanthus nivalis, which means milk flower.  The Snowdrop Festival signifies the end of winter and the start of Spring.  Snowdrops can be viewed at Scone Palace Perth which takes part in the snowdrop festival.  As does Cambo House and Estate Fife.   RSPS Lochwinnoch Renfrewshire.
